Cycling though Scotland (Summer 1997)

In 1997, I joint Tobias Beitz and Claudia spending three weeks in Scotland, visiting some nice places by bicycle. After the great tour in Norway, we really wanted to do something like this again. Too bad we were only three people and only having three weeks of holidays.

The scenery in at the west coast of Scotland is somehow similar to the west coast of Norway (Slartibartfast?). Scotland is a little bit less extreme than Norway, and thus also a little bit easier to cycle through. On the other hand, the midges in Scotland are worse than the mosquitoes in Norway. The cooking of our daily meal in the evening was much more fun in Scotland. Still we didn't give up. How do the Scottish survive that?

Here comes the description of the tour.
